BIS is Bureau of Indian Standards. It is a National Standard Body of India established under the BIS Act 2016. BIS deals with standardization, marking and quality certification of goods and for matters connected with goods. It provides safe reliable quality goods, minimizing health hazards to consumers, promotes exports and imports substitute etc. BIS has its Headquarters at New Delhi and its 05 Regional Offices (ROs) are at Kolkata (Eastern), Chennai (Southern), Mumbai (Western), Chandigarh (Northern) and Delhi (Central).
On the occasion of International Standard day ( 14 Oct ) a program is being organized by BIS. BIS Lucknow is organizing Youth to Youth connect program in different Polytechnics and Engineering colleges. It needs 10 to 15 members as volunteers, they will participate in this program. These volunteers has to connect with 30 youth and they have to tell them about BIS, Certification, Hallmarking etc.
But before this all volunteers will be trained by BIS and a CAP and a batch will be provided by BIS to all volunteers. After successful completion of this program all volunteers will get a remuneration of Rs.1500 by BIS. So Come forward and join BIS.
