As per National Education Policy 2020, the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) has been started to facilitate the academic mobility of students with the freedom to study across the Higher Education Institutions in the country with an appropriate &#8220;credit transfer&#8221; mechanism from one programme to another, leading to attain a Degree\/ Diploma\/PG-diploma, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Features of ABC:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It Allows academic institutions to keep and maintain the honesty of the credits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintains the authenticity and confidentiality of student credits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Easy credit transfer through digital mode from one Institute to other<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Faster credit transfer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Benefits of ABC Registration:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Allows multiple entry, multiple exit for students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stores student credit for a minimum of 7 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transfer credit after approval of source and destination academic institution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only verified academic institutions can upload credits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improves transparency <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Helps to build a more flexible approach to curriculum design and development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Process of ABC:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The credits earned by students will be stored in their ABC \u2018Academic Account.\u2019 If the student moves to a different institution, the accumulated credits get transferred to the account of the new institution. Credits may be transferred from an institution to be accumulated in another programme offered by the same or another institution. Once the credit is redeemed for the award of the above, it would be irrevocably debited from the respective student\u2019s \u2018Academic Account\u2019 of ABC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can register in ABC through website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abc.gov.in\">www.abc.gov.in<\/a>. You must have to create a Digi locker account. If you have already a Digi locker account then you can log In using Digi locker id and password.
