The input waveform will be amplifier by the factor Av (voltage gain of the amplifier) in magnitude and its phase will be inverted. In the inverting amplifier circuit the signal to be amplified is applied to the inverting input of the opamp through the input resistance R1. Rf is the feedback resistor. Rf and Rin together determine the gain of the amplifier. Inverting operational amplifier gain can be expressed using the equation Av = \u2013 Rf\/R1. Negative sign implies that the output signal is negated. The circuit diagram of a basic inverting amplifier using op-amp is shown below-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Circuit Diagram:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"362\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/skygyan.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3015\" srcset=\"https:\/\/skygyan.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/4.jpg 362w, https:\/\/skygyan.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/4-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 362px) 100vw, 362px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Observation: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Observe the output waveform from CRO.
