What is Modulation?
Definition: Modulation is a process in which characteristics of carrier signal is varied in accordance with the instantaneous value of the message signal. This means as message signals’s amplitude varies, amplitude, phase or frequency of carrier signal also varies.
In the modulation process, message signal a low frequency signal and carrier signal is a high frequency signal. The message signal is superimposed on this high frequency carrier signal and then transferred over the channel.

Types of Modulation: There are basically two types of modulation:-
- Continuous wave modulation
- Pulse modulation
