A Solar eclipse is an astronomical event in which Moon comes between Sun and Earth. When this astronomical event happens and Sun light is blocked by Moon then we see only a portion of Sun or full Sun is hide behind Moon, this event is called as Solar eclipse. When whole Sun is Blocked by our Moon then this vent is called as Total Solar Eclipse.
Total eclipses are dramatic and turn the sky dark, but they are only visible from a few locations. This is why the opportunity to experience an eclipse is often called a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Total Solar Eclipse date: This year 2024 total solar eclipse will happen on 8th April 2024. But this solar eclipse will not be seen by Indians as it will happen in US, Canada. The total darkening of the sky, also known as totality, will be visible across a 185-kilometre stretch and 18 different states will see this eclipse.
